No maths degree? No problem

A diploma for those who want to teach maths despite not having a degree has been launched by the Open University. Tens of thousands of pupils in England are taught by people who are not maths specialists as schools struggle to recruit fully-qualified staff. The first courses will train staff to teach 11 to 14-year-olds.
