A student at a South Lanarkshire secondary found herself on her uppers during a recent crit lesson when her much-trumpeted pound;400 shoes, boasting a “D” motif (for Dior, as she told the staffroom), failed to impress the lecturer out to see her in action.
That was thanks to a girl in the class who asked in the middle of the crit, just as the bespoke-shod student thought she had their attention: “Miss, iz that ‘D’ fur Dolcis oan yer shooz?”
