Another bank of digital media, this one for endangered species, is offered by ARKive, the conservation charity that bills itself as a “digital Noah’s Ark”. The service, aimed at children aged seven to 11 and their teachers, is run by the Wildscreen Trust. The children’s site, Planet ARKive, is full of bright graphics, acts and games, while the more sober teachers’ site, ARKive Education, has support materials, cross-curricular lesson plans, weblinks and suggestions for involving parents.
