THE Executive has cleared Northern College to merge with Dundee and Aberdeen universities, in the two cities where it is based.
Wendy Alexander, Enterprise and Lifelong Learning Minister, said the integration of the college’s two campuses, which takes place later in the year, would have “considerable benefits” for students and staff, enhancing teacher training in Tayside and Grampian.
Ms Alexander added: “In return the universities will benefit from the college’s strong links with schools and other educational bodies.”
