Sixty towns and villages are hosting events ranging from an earth chant day to art on the rocks. Children’s events include banner making, pirates and princesses treasure day, children’s theatre day, a schools’ literary day, scarecrow festival, schools’ cricket competition, the Exmoor storybus, Circle of Fifth Wind Ensemble, primary workshops and performances of The Fairy Queen by Rude Mechanicals Theatre and Ali Baba and the Farty Thieves.

There is a rare opportunity to see Cicely Mary Barker’s original paintings of Flower Fairies at the RHS garden Rosemoor. The festival incorporates the Lynton and Lynmouth music festival, the Appledore visual arts festival, the Ilfracombe Victorian celebration and Goldcoast Oceanfest, a three-day lifestyle and extreme sports extravaganza.
