Former Abba member and composer Bjorn Ulvaeus has criticised faith schools, arguing that young people should receive an education free of religious influence. He said he was concerned about the growing influence of such schools in his native Sweden. Writing for the English-language Swedish website The Local, Mr Ulvaeus said: "Schools should provide a safe haven from all ideologies."
