I do not know enough about the “Go to hell” row at Landscore Primary to judge the rights and wrongs of what occured (“One week to apologise”, February 27). But as a Christian, I am appalled that people have threatened to “torch” the headteacher’s house, or kidnap his children, or falsely accuse him of being a paedophile. Such threats cannot possibly be justified in any circumstances. What concerns me most is that, presumably, those making them are motivated by a desire to defend Christianity, but they have forgotten what that faith is about. One cannot defend a faith that is centred on love of God and neighbour with wild threats.
