Your article “Liberal-Democrats look for gains among discontented” (TES, March 17) is seriously misinformed about the role of the Liberal Democrats on Liverpool City Council.
Far from “effectively running the administration”, as you suggest, they have actively fled from taking any responsibility on what is technically a hung council.
