Sport increases children’s confidence and promotes respect for self and others. To promote good team spirit, primary schools are invited to organise a fair play day during the week beginning June 30 and at the same time raise funds for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children’s full stop campaign. Prizes include a visit from top sporting personalities such as footballer Trevor Sinclair and a fair play shield. A teachers’ activity pack has been produced by the Youth Sport Trust.
