OCTOBER 24 REUNION

OCTOBER 24-30 TIE THE KNOT

OCTOBER 24-30 QUEST FOR CAMELOT

Drop-in interactive storytelling workshops, led by Arthurian characters from Camelot, are being held for families at the Museum of the Moving Image, South Bank, London SE1, linked to its current exhibition. OCTOBER 24-NOVEMBER 1 HALF TERM AT GREENWICH

Children can get a glimpse at the life of 19th-century sailor, Jolly Jack, and discover how a sextant works, the mysteries of the Bosun’s Call and how it feels to go diving for mines. Plus storytelling on what life was like for a child aboard a man-of-war during the Napoleonic Wars and the Crowsnest Club aimed at young children. OCTOBER 24-31 HALLOWE’EN WITH THE NATIONAL TRUST

Eerie events at National Trust properties include: a “Ghost, ghouls and witches” activity day with spooky stories and costumes, October 24, 11am-3.30pm, at Dunster Castle, Somerset; a Hallowe’en Fair at Ardress House, Portadown, Northern Ireland, October 24, 3-7pm; and a “Phantoms of the forest” walk at Hardcastle Crags in Calderdale, October 31, 7pm. OCTOBER 28 SWINGING CATS

Families can join in a cat chorus and a Painted Cat Face competition at two musical moggies shows at the Purcell Room, South Bank Centre, London SE1, 11.30am and 2pm.
