Nottingham education chair dies;In brief

DON SCOTT, chair of education at Nottingham City Council, died suddenly on September 26, shortly after completing the city’s annual Robin Hood Marathon. Mr Scott, 48, taught history, politics and sociology at Bilborough sixth-form college. His funeral service takes place today in St Mary’s Church, Nottingham.
