Numberball is a colourful, enjoyable and effective way of memorising the components of the multiplication table. There are two satisfyingly chunky eight-sided balls, each marked with one of the numbers from 2 to 9, set out as a regular pattern of dots with an individual colour. Players roll both balls and then work out the product of the two numbers shown. The game can be played as a solo challenge by filling in the answers on a chart against the sand-timer or played by collaborative pairs or as a group contest. It costs pound;9.99 + pp from Logical Learning, PO Box 42, Buntingford, Herts SG9 9XQ.
