I have my reservations about extended schools, but the illustration for Nigel Newton`s article “I had a dream...” (TES, December 9) was at best unfortunate and at worst extremely offensive.
Does The TES really associate extended schools with Auschwitz? Or did you fail to realise that the “Work Makes Us Free” archway was a straight copy of the Auschwitz “Arbeit Macht Frei” archway?
I am sure that I was not the only person offended by this.
