Old boy takes the helm at Eton

Eton has appointed an old boy as headmaster for the first time in 50 years. Tony Little, headmaster of Oakham school in Rutland, will take over when John Lewis retires in August 2002. Mr Little attended Eton Choir school before going on a bursary to Eton. The last Eton-educated headmaster was Sir Claude Elliott, who held the post from 1933-49.
