Once beaten...Letter

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority’s intention to devise a framework of national tests for almost every year of primary schooling (TES, February 13) is evidently a response to popular (sic) demand.

Suggesting that most primary teachers are demanding tests is like saying that once beaten with a stick it becomes more tolerable if you then continue to beat yourselfwith it.
