One in 10 pupils now backs BNP

Nearly one in 10 non-Muslim youngsters said that they supported the ultra-right-wing views of the British National Party, according to a study.

Researchers from St John’s college, York, who questioned more than 1,500 13 to 24-year-olds, found that attitudes to Muslims had hardened since the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, and the war in Iraq.
