At the end of the Governors’ page article (TESS, June 22), you list sources of further information. Unfortunately the third equality commission, the Disability Rights Commission, was omitted.
The DRC was established by an Act of Parliament, the Disability Rights Commission Act, and opened for business in April 2000. We work to eliminate discrimination against disabled people with a vision of a society where all disabled people can participate equally. We are responsible for overseeing the working of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 in practice. This covers education, employment, access to goods and services and transport.
