Argyll and Bute Council, one would imagine, has a watertight reason for consulting over the future of Kerrera Primary, which is on an island off Oban - to wit, it has no pupils. But Archie Morton, the education director, is a fair-minded man. “It is recognised that small schools like Kerrera do have the advantage of very small numbers,” he told his committee last week.
