Scottish Opera Education has been building bridges between classrooms and live opera, using specially commissioned study units designed to support the curriculum in music, English and art and design at Standard grade and Intermediate levels.

Pupils have been exploring Die Fledermaus in their coursework and then this week attended a presentation of key extracts from the opera, featuring the Scottish Opera cast and music director. An audience of over 500 was expected from Kilmarnock, Stewarton, Auchinleck, Grange, Loudon, Cumnock and Greenwood academies.
