Headteachers in grant-maintained schools are to set up a helpline for schools seeking to opt out. They have also formed a working party to examine ways in which their movement may be promoted.

The Grant-Maintained Schools Standing Advisory Committee has established a support network for heads, governors, teachers and parents considering GMS. The service is available through Alan Roach or Robert Allen, on 01268 552536.
