The history, culture, literature and beliefs of Wales and the Celts are examined in two special exhibitions at Celtica, which is housed in “Y Plas”, a 17th-century restored mansion in Machynlleth, Mid Wales. Students of all ages discover Celtic origins in the Foundry, wander through the Corridor of Time to a recreation of a Celtic settlement, which brings alive the sights, sounds and smells of the Celtic past, and venture into the Celtic Otherworld through a mysterious and magical forest that leads on to the Vortex.
