The National Nature Reserves illustrated booklet highlights the special features of all 54 nature reserves in Wales.

These include sand dunes, estuaries, salt marshes, sea cliffs, wetlands, flower meadows, moorlands, high mountain regions, Ice Age relics, islands, rock formations and underground cave systems, each containing their own special wildlife.

They cost Pounds 4.95 and can be obtained from: Countryside Council for Wales, Plas Penrhos, Ffordd Penrhos, Bangor LL57 2LQ.

Two teaching packs have been produced by Friends of the Earth for primary and secondary schools entitled Wildlife Habitats, which show children what is precious about hedgerows, meadows, woodlands and peatbogs and what threatens their survival (Pounds 8.95 each).

Also available is a series of eight colourful cartoon leaflets, Mad About . . . , which looks at different environmental issues, price Pounds 4, and a set of 11 leaflets, Discovering the Environment, for Pounds 4.50.

For details write to Friends of the Earth, 56-58 Alma Street, Luton LU1 2PH.
