Outdoor folly

I am aware that local authorities are looking for a variety of different financial savings. But as a teacher of 30 years’ standing and one who has been involved in outdoor activities while doing formal teaching, I feel that outdoor centres and any activities which school or sports staff may undertake outside the classroom should not be subjected to the current cutbacks. Is the health of a nation to be founded on indoor education?
