Overseas supplies set to expire

A TEACHER supply agency has taken the Home Office to judicial review over changes to the rules under which overseas teachers are granted work permits. TimePlan said this week that a High Court judge had given the department seven days to explain its decision. The supply agency says new rules mean work permits will expire in August 2002 - making it impossible to recruit for the start of the 20023 academic year starting next autumn.
