I WOULD like to thank Elizabeth Hinks (Friday magazine, December 3) for saving me work. When I interview for a teacher I no longer need to read the application form to assertain candidates’ qualifications and experience, read their letters of application to discover their philosophy and presentation skills, gather references, agonise over who to shortlist nor, finally, do I need to interview so as to decide which candidate has the personality which fits the job description and team profile best.
Qualifications alone need to be considered.
