Parents in three socially-deprived areas have been shown how they can help their children with school work.The National Family and Parenting Institute funded one-off sessions for families with five, 12 and 14-year-olds in Kirklees, Stockport and Tower Hamlets. They were aimed particularly at parents from ethnic-minority backgrounds and on low incomes.
