Parents plan protest after hot meals are taken off the menu

They believe that by providing only cold lunches, West Sussex County Council will be breaching the spirit of new nutritional regulations that coe into force on April 1 and strongly recommend schools offer hot food, particularly during winter. Since 1991, seven councils have stopped serving hot lunches in primary schools - Lincolnshire, Hereford, Buckinghamshire, Dorset, Somerset, Worcestershire and West Sussex.
