THIRTEEN parents have appeared in a Liverpool court accused of failing to stop their children from truanting. The pupils, mostly from Parklands high school, Speke, were absent for at least 15 per cent of the time. Two of the parents pleaded not guilty and were sent for trial; six pleaded guilty and were given community and rehabilitation orders; and the other five cases were adjourned.
