The number of school pupils able to visit the Scottish Parliament has doubled since the opening of the new building at Holyrood.

The state-of-the-art education centre allows it to cater for upwards of 9,000 pupils a year.

Youngsters can ask the resident education officers questions, meet their local MSP, get a tour of the parliament complex and find out how the parliament affects them and their community.

Bookings this session are full but schools interested in visiting during the next academic year should contact the education centre in the summer term. Visits are free, any school can book up to three visits a year and the maximum group size is 33.
