In response to ”‘Dishonest’ head gets 2-year ban for pocketing #163;5k destined for school funds” (May 7), Blackburn with Darwen Council would like to make clear that it has never made payments to a school improvement partner who is a serving head. Our policy has always been to make payments to the school’s governing body and this remains the case.
