Sometimes the line between consumer electronics and computer equipment appears to be becoming blurred.

ICL’s PCTV is a combined 14-inch TV set and multimedia PC. The TV includes a Nicam digital stereo tuner, Fastext and stereo speakers.

The PC section has a 486DX2 chip, double-speed CD-Rom drive that also plays Photo CD discs, sound card, 350 megabyte hard disc and 4 megabyte RAM (internal memory) as standard.

Users can create a personal teletext magazine, featuring pages from the Ceefax and Teletext services. The PCTV costs Pounds 1,500, including VAT (ICL 01344 473000).
