The education industry is still coming to terms with Pearson’s pound;300 million takeover of Dorling Kindersley last month. The publisher needed rescuing after it printed millions too many Star Wars books and investors took a dim view of plans to make all DKs published content available on the Internet. Offline hears that Granada Learning was very interested in acquiring DK, but lost out to Pearson. But we can expect Granada’s buying spree, which began with Letts earlier this year, to continue.
