The main teaching unions in Scotland have called off plans to ballot members over strike action on public sector pensions. The Educational Institute of Scotland and the Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association, along with other unions, acted in response to a Government offer of talks on raising the pension age from 60 to 65.
