Andrew Wellbeloved has taken over as head of Townsend Church of England School, St Albans, Hertfordshire, in succession to Sheila Greenfield who recently retired. He was formerly deputy head.
Yvonne Kingdom, a Whitbread purchase accounts clerk in Sheffield, has won the RSATeacher Placement Service Business Placement Award (now the RSA Schools Associates Programme). She partnered Richard Lazenby, a teacher at Pye Bank Nursery Infant School, Sheffield, in the creation of a pizza business with a class of six-year-olds - a project jointly organised with Sheffield Education Business Partnership.
