Education Secretary Charles Clarke has appointed Linda Neal and Dianne Nightingale to the National College for School Leadership’s governing council, and has reappointed three existing members.
Ms Neal is director of Excellence in Cities in Greenwich, south-east London and is on secondment to the Government Office for London’s youth service strategy.
Ms Nightingale is head of Hounsdown school in Hampshire.
Beverly Hodson, from WH Smith UK, Hugh Mitchell, from Shell International and Nigel Portwood, from the Penguin Group, have all been reappointed.
The NCSL was launched in November 2000 and its headquarters in Nottingham were officially opened by the Prime Minister last October.
