Janet Scarrow, deputy head of Stonar School, Wiltshire, will become head of Badminton Girls’ School, Bristol, upon the retirement of Clifford Gould in September 1997.

Jean Harvey, chief examiner of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, is retiring in January to take up a new post as international music consultant.

New appointees to the board of Kids Unlimited, providers of care for pre-school children, include: finance director, Neil Carr, formerly senior corporate manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, and marketing director, Martin Pace, from Jigsaw Day Nurseries.
