Ann Limb, principal and chief executive of Cambridge Regional College, is the first woman to spend a period of study at the Centre for Women Leaders set up by its director Baroness Perry, president of Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge.

Dr Peter Avery, vice-principal and deputy chief executive of Priestley College, Warrington, has been appointed principal and chief executive of Richard Huish College, Taunton.
