Religious schools exist, not as Mr Delmonte says, to promote “hatred of other religions”, but to bring people to a knowledge of higher or “religious” truths and values. Many religions have overlapping areas of beliefs. If it were not for the existence of truth and subsequently man’s knowledge of it, (and witness to it) there would have been no basis for advancement across the centuries of man’s achievement and advancement.
It is rather man’s misuse of God-given free will which has brought so much misery, and it is surely the job of education and schools to point to the ways in which to avoid making the same mistakes over again.
