* Peter Clayburn, 18, from Danum technology college, Doncaster, south Yorkshire, was named at the ceremony as AQA A-level student of the year.
Peter scored 598 out of 600 in Spanish and achieved As in five other subjects. Twelve other students were recognised this year.
