More than 80,000 pieces from the Petne Museum of Egyptian Archaeology at University College London can now be seen online.

The museum is housed in inadequate conditions at UCL. so a a decision was taken to make its unique artefacts. such as the world’s oldest dress and Roman mummy portraits, accessible on the Internet. The Petrie, in conjunction with the Manchester Museum, has also launched a site about the ancient “pyramid” - town of Kahun. www.petrie.ucac.uk www.kahun.ucl.ac.uk
