Phoenix rises for Damilola

A MEMORIAL to Damilola Taylor was unveiled by Education Secretary Estelle Morris this week in the gardens of Oliver Goldsmith primary where the 10-year-old was a pupil. The 6ft-high sculpture of a phoenix was designed by art student Alexandra Brooke. Damilola died two years ago after being stabbed on the nearby north Peckham estate, in south London.
