Phonics row escalates over charge of bias

Successful primary headteachers have a large part to play in waving the flag for the importance of developing literacy skills across the curriculum. It seems like good sense to have those with practical, direct experience involved from the start. Maybe, with their guidance, the panel will finally hear the message that all children must be literate, no matter what, and there are clearly better ways of achieving this than at present.
