A photography competition highlighting green issues has an under-21 category for the first time.

The Young Environmental Photographer of the Year award is open to entrants throughout the world whose work has enhanced an understanding of global warming.

Entries will be judged by some of the most respected environmental photographers in the industry, including Gary Braasch, winner of the Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography, whose work is pictured right. The competition is open until July 31.
