Grants of up to pound;400 are available to schools and colleges for small-scale projects or events linked to teaching physics. Projects linked to astronomy, space and particle physics are particularly encouraged. Ideas for using the funds might include running a school-based science week activity, buying materials outside normal department resources or organising a visit with a working physicist. The grants are awarded by the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council and the Institute of Physics.
