* Four New York schools will offer cash prizes for students based on their exam results next year, in a pilot scheme devised by Harvard economist Roland Fryer. The scheme will be closely watched by the city’s education chiefs. Students at the four schools, will receive payouts equivalent to one-quarter of their test scores.
