Plans to turn another Islington school into an academy have moved a step closer, 12 months after the original sponsor pulled out.

Islington council said this week that the City of London - the local authority for the Square Mile - and City university, London, will jointly contribute pound;2m sponsorship to turn Islington Green school into an academy for 11 to 18-year-olds.
