(Photograph) - Playground protest: pupils at Penrice High School in St Austell, Cornwall, staged a demonstration this week to protest about deteriorating job prospects. Aside from the closure of the South Crofty tin mine and proposals to close four Cornish hospitals, there are continuing problems with traditional industries of farming and fishing. A strike and student march through the town had been planned, but after negotiations with the head and chairman of the governors pupils agreed to confine their action to the school grounds
