PM hails 16-19 free schools ‘incentive’

David Cameron this week paved the way for charities, universities and businesses to open free schools for 16 to 19-year-olds. The prime minister said the Government’s education bill, due next week, would allow sixth-form colleges to be opened as new academies. “This will widen the range of options available to young people and encourage them to continue in education,” he said.
