As a new teacher, finding the right CPD can feel a bit like searching for a needle in a haystack.

There are many courses out there aimed at teachers - both online and in-person; for free and for a fee. There are ones that will give you letters after your name, and ones that will just give you a certificate of attendance.

But this year, in particular, will see a host of new teachers looking to fill gaps that school closures may have left in their classroom experience. So what CPD is worth pursuing?

Tes recruitment editor Grainne Hallahan caught up with Sarah Barker of Orchard School in Bristol to talk about where and how a new teacher can begin their search.
