* In view of the remarks about the inadequacy of funding from his education authority made by headteacher John Claydon, (TES, Friday magazine, October 31) it is only fair to point out that Wyedean school is in Gloucestershire and not in Monmouthsire as stated.

It is on the Gloucestershire side of the River Wye, which divides Chepstow between England and Wales. The whole of Chepstow, however, has a Monmouthshire post code, which, I imagine, is the basis of the confusion.
